Another trait of for this particular breed of dog is that it has a very strong hunting instinct. So, if you have a cat as well, your Jack Russell may attack it. Unfortunately, training seems ineffective in removing this instinct. Therefore, if you have other smaller pets around in your house, you should take certain precaution.
